In addition to being playable in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish for the first time ever, this new version of City Hunter also comes packed with brand new game modes, features and extras. Hard and Enhanced modes as well as Quality of Life features (Save States, Rewind, CRT filter, etc.) have been added for an even more fun gameplay experience while a bonus gallery and a music player are there as treats for fans of Ryo Saeba’s adventures.
Enhanced Mode:
City Hunter’s Enhanced Mode fixes a number of issues present in the original 1990 release while keeping its difficulty and progression as it was. Controls have been made more responsive and issues such as lag, ineffective projectiles and various bugs have been fixed in order to offer a more enjoyable experience.
Hard Mode:
The Hard Mode is City Hunter’s definitive version. On top of all the improvements included in the Enhanced Mode, the Hard More also changes item placement, the amount of damage both inflicted and taken, enemy speed and behavior, hit boxes as well as boss fights. A totally new gameplay sequence has even been added to the game for an even more challenging mission!
